Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • 2 year completion of AME course.
  • 4 years experience as an aircraft structures technician.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the business and customer environment.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and E-mail.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada

ᐱᓕᕆᐊᔅᓴᖏᑦ ᐊᒻᒪᓗ ᐱᔪᓐᓇᕆᐊᓕᖏᑦ

Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of repair actions to aircraft structures and interior equipment within the Scope of Approval of the Maintenance Policy Manual on aircraft in Ottawa and support to other bases as required.
  • Monitors currency of fleet aircraft Structural Repair Manuals.
  • Responsible for the management and control of company owned tools and equipment within the confines of the shop.
  • Co-ordinates with and assists the Purchasing Department to acquire all materials needed for Aircraft structural repairs and
  • refurbishment.
  • Co-ordinates with other internal departments and customers the rectification requirements pertaining to their aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and interior equipment repair issues.
  • Responsible for the preparation and administration of annual operating and capital budget for the shop.
  • Responsible for the guidance, supervision and training of all personnel reporting to him/her.
  • Ensures the work carried out by personnel in the shop is accomplished in a safe, efficient and economic manner.
  • Responsible to keep the Aircraft Structures and Interior Shop clean and orderly at all times.
  • Liaisons with third party work customers.
  • Conducts periodic audits and reviews to ensure ongoing quality and compliance
