Skills and Qualifications

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent work experience in facilities maintenance
  • 1 years previous experience related to the facilities maintenance or a related trade
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision
  • Perform general labour
  • Provide a medical certificate indicating the ability to perform physical labour related duties (on request)
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Possess and maintain valid Drivers License
  • Carpentry, painting or other skilled trade experience would be considered an asset
  • Previous Janitor experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada

Duties and Responsibilities

Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for grounds maintenance, including snow and waste removal.
  • Responsible for conducting minor repairs to the facilities as required.
  • Responsible for driving to pick up building materials and other supplies.
  • Must conduct Fire/Life/Safety inspection and maintain appropriate records.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
